- AirTrain: The AirTrain stops at all terminals. To connect to New York and beyond, you can take the Green Line serving Howard Beach, or the Red Line serving Jamaica Station. The fee by MetroCard is $8 for starting or ending your journey at any of these stations. However, you can travel between stops at no charge.
- Subway (MTA): You can take the NYC subway from the start and end points of the AirTrain. You can connect to Manhattan by taking the A Line from Howard Beach and Lines Z, J, and E from Jamaica. The trip to JFK from Midtown Manhattan (Penn Station) takes roughly 50 minutes and costs $10.75 (AirTrain: $8 plus subway: $2.75).
