About Terminal A

Terminal A of MCO has 2 concourses—1 and 2.

• Concourse 1
  • Is located to the northwest of the main terminal building. 
  • Pass through the west side security checkpoint and take the APM. 
  • Serves gates 1-29 for international flights. After exiting the APM:
    • Take the left walkway for gates 1-9.
    • Take the right walkway for gates 20-29.
    • Go straight ahead for gates 10-19.
  • Houses several shops (incl. duty-free) and restaurants, and The Club at MCO Lounge and an XpressSpa. 
• Concourse 2 
  • Is located to the northeast of the main terminal building. 
  • Serves gates 100-129, which are for domestic flights. 
  • Can be accessed by clearing the east side security checkpoint and taking the APM. 
  • After exiting the APM:
    • Take the left walkway for gates 101-109. 
    • Take the right walkway for gates 121-129.

• Nursing Rooms are located in Terminal B on level 2 across from baggage carousels 28 and 24; between Gates 111 and 112 in Concourse 2; in Concourse 3’s central area; in Concourse 4 close to the entrance of Gates 70-79, 80-89, and 90-99; and in Terminal C.

Train

• The SunRail departs from and arrives at Sand Lake Road SunRail station. The local bus service Lynx operates between MCO and Terminal A (level 1), from stops A38 – 41.
• The Amtrak station is about half a mile away from Lynx bus route 11’s bus stop.

Bus

• Lynx buses depart from lanes A38-41 of MCO’s ground transportation area on level 1, serving Orlando’s downtown area, SeaWorld, International Drive, and Florida Mall.

Security and Customs at the Southwest MCO Terminal

Orlando International Airport has 3 security checkpoints. The checkpoint located to the west of the main terminal serves Gates 1 to 59; the one located to the east covers Gates 70 to 129; and the third checkpoint is located in Terminal C on level 2.

TSA PreCheck

Dedicated TSA PreCheck lanes are available at MCO’s east and west checkpoints, open daily from about 4 a.m. to 8 p.m. PreCheck members enjoy a faster screening process, not needing to remove belts, shoes, or light jackets and being able to leave laptops and compliant liquids in their carry-on bags. Additionally, there is an Enrollment Center in Terminal 2 (level 2) close to baggage claim #23, open Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Global Entry

MCO offers Global Entry kiosks for swift customs clearance for international travelers. There is a Global Entry Enrollment Center in Terminal B, on level 3 near the food court. The airport also supports Enrollment on Arrival for new applicants.

Mobile Passport

Eligible travelers can use the Mobile Passport Control app to expedite their entry into the U.S. Upon arrival, passengers can submit their CBP Declaration Form through the app and present the receipt and their passport to a CBP officer for faster processing.

CLEAR

Inter-Terminal Transport at Orlando International Airport 

Automated People Mover (APM)

The Automated People Mover (APM) at Orlando International Airport efficiently shuttles passengers to and from the main terminal and the departure concourses after security. The system consists of two lines on the east side serving Concourses 1 and 3, and two lines on the west side connecting to Concourses 2 and 4.

A new fifth line, located outside the secure zone, now links parking garage 3 and the new Terminal C.

Shuttle Bus

A free shuttle bus operates 24 hours a day, transporting passengers between Terminals A, B, and C. The shuttle picks up and drops off passengers outside Terminal B (space B29 on level 1), and outside Terminal C on level 6 arrivals.

Walking

At Orlando International Airport, passengers must use the APM to travel between the main terminal and departure concourses, as there are no pedestrian walkways between them. Walking is only possible for passengers with connecting flights within the same concourse or between concourses on the same side of the terminal. Security checkpoints provide access to two concourses each, allowing direct transfers from Concourse 3 to Concourse 1 via the APM, except for international arrivals who must clear customs and immigration.
