Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) has 2 terminals—Terminal 3 and Terminal 4. 

Terminal 4, from where Southwest Airlines operates, is located on the east side, offering parking facilities, two cell phone waiting lots, and the Valley Metro Rail Station on the northeast side.

Terminal 3 is situated on the west side of the airport, along with parking facilities and a cell phone waiting lot.

The airport’s road network connects the terminals and parking areas. A free PHX Sky Train links Terminals 3 and 4. After clearing security, you can walk between all 7 concourses in Terminal 4. However, you can’t walk between Terminals 3 and 4—you’ll have to catch the PHX Sky Train.

About Terminal 4. Terminal 4 at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport manages both domestic and international flights, with operations spread across three levels. 

  • Level 1. The first level is dedicated to arrivals, offering baggage claim services and ground transportation.
  • Level 2. The second level is for ticketing and includes a USO Lounge for active military members.
  • Level 3. The third level is for departures and provides access to the terminal’s eight concourses. Below are the gate numbers and their respective security checkpoints:

    • Gates B1-14 and B15-28 (Checkpoint B)
